W.L. Weller 12 Years Old
As part of the wheated bourbon family, this twelve year old W.L. Weller is aged far longer than most wheated bourbons. This offering is a smooth, easy-going and balanced offering with a beautiful deep bronze color.
TASTING NOTES: Aromas of lanolin, almond, creamed corn and toasty vanilla. The mid-palate flavor is heavily wheated, layered and moderately sweet. Long, oaky, and intensely smooth finish.
Glad I got this
I was a bit worried to find that the screwcap was opened a tad; perhaps due to the packing material being taped onto the cap? Well, if this is not the real thing, its still damn good. Just a slight/subtle alcohol heat but that is lost in deliciousness. Its amazing how the flavors on the nose and palate are perceptibly different with caramel, honey, vanilla, nut, oak, and spice but simultaneously blending and pleasing with each sip. I was afraid that this wouldnt live up to the hype, but I am pleasantly surprised. Thank you for shipping to Hawaii where we cant get this. Mahalo!
Delivered on a timely fashion.
Delivered on a timely fashion. Excellent bourbon, my favorite!
Hard to find, a bit pricey but arrived fairly quick.
Not worth the hype - at all. It's no better than most other bourbons out there, and certainly not worth the price tag. About $100 overpriced.
